The Fourth Annual Ron's Run for the Roses was a spectacular success! Thank you to all for making Ron’s Run for the Roses a resounding success. Nearly 300 beautiful people were treated to a spectacular afternoon, from the starting gate to the finish line.
Purple was the color of the day, in remembrance of friends and loved ones we’ve lost and all who are battling pancreatic cancer today. The common bond of HOPE among our guests was palpable as they bid on auction items and donated to Ron’s Rescue, raising over $100,000 for pancreatic cancer research, education and support!
And the cherry on top was the dramatic ending to the Derby, winning jockey in purple silks…

As a result, the Ron Foley Pancreatic Cancer Foundation was immensely proud to present a check for $75,000 to the Pancreatic Cancer Study Group at The Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center of Hartford Hospital. Our donation will help fund the potentially groundbreaking study, "Profiling of Pancreatic Cystic Neoplasms for Early Detection and Prevention of Pancreatic Cancer" headed by Dr. Michael Karasik.
In addition, this April, the physicians at the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center of Hartford Hospital will offer it's first pancreatic cancer patient education symposium, open to the public and free of charge. In November, National Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, we look forward to teaming with Hartford Hospital to bring a physician education symposium on pancreatic cancer to the Hartford area.
With your generous support, we will continue to speak for our friends and loved ones who have been silenced by pancreatic cancer.
Help us to RAISE AWARENESS and to FIND A CURE.
